Bad Kreuznach is a charming little city in Germany’s Rhineland-Palatinate state with an abundance of historical and architectural gems to explore. Whether you’re an aficionado of the ancient or an aspiring architect, you won’t want to miss these 7 must-visit sites. 

Kurpark: Located in the heart of the city, Kurpark is the ideal place to spend a leisurely afternoon admiring its lush greenery and distinctive fountains. You can take a relaxing stroll around the many statues and monuments or revel in a spot of sunbathing. Entrance is free and it’s open from 8 AM until 8 PM.

Church of Our Lady: Finely crafted in the 1700s, the Church of Our Lady features two onion-shaped towers and Baroque spires. Inside, you’ll find ornate wooden ceilings and a grand organ. You can also marvel at the imposing crypt beneath the apse. Admission is free and the church is open from May to September from 10 AM to 5 PM, and from October to April from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Kastell: Dating back to Roman times, this majestic castle is an iconic part of the city’s skyline. You can explore its seven charming courtyards, visit the on-site museum or take a guided tour around the walled city. Entrance to the castle and museum is free.
